There is deep navy and purple that the lens is not picking up. Believe it or not. The lighting here is a bit dim. The background is a rich deep purplish navy. Roses are one of my favorite subject. I find them to be incredibly beautiful and mysterious. This current painting is based of a photograph I took myself. I adjusted the colors for a more romantic feel.
