(WIP) Progress Photo 6/17/18 Working my way from right to left. Currently on my easel. These roses are just absolutely the most beautiful shades of orange, pink and corals. I was working on peonies but had to stop and just paint these lovely roses. Not sure of the exact rose name. I began this painting with a light coral background and actually took the time to sketch the roses out. I normally just wing it and start painting from the center out but since it was three, I want

“Grace" & "Radiance"
Finished painting. 8" x 8" Original acrylic on panel board. These peonies graced my garden this. They are stunning flowers. I painted them against a royal blue background which I feel in love with. White and royal blue are so elegant. #Blog #finearts #ErikaLozano #painting #Beautyandflowers #artist #interiordesign #design #painter #portrait #whiterose #roses #rosepainting #flower #floral #orchidpainting #whiteroseroserosepainting #roserealism #hyperrealismrtose #finearts #vir

Finished painting. 18" x 24" Acrylic on linen. It's peony season and I must paint them! I happen to pick the most complicated of peonies. There are several kinds and this one has the most petals that move in every direction. It's a fun challenge with all the color shirts and trying to keep the translucent feel. This one will take some time. Bare with me. #Blog #finearts #ErikaLozano #painting #Beautyandflowers #artist #interiordesign #design #painter #portrait #whiterose #ros

The funny orange one is a robot I quickly sewed for him when he was five. He wanted a robot plush and I couldn't order one fast enough, so I made one. I have combined my love for colorful abstract and realism. To my son, his toys were real and so kept the likeness. Because of his creat

White Rose Series
I have challenged my self to paint white roses these last few weeks. White has been a bit of a challenge for me to work with. I finally feel more comfortable with it. A rose is certainly complex. I have taken pictures of white roses as they wither. I am capturing the beautiful stage of their decay. As they wither I find so many beautiful shades of brown, gold and whites. I'll post the finished pieces soon. #Blog #finearts #ErikaLozano #painting #Beautyandflowers #artist #inte
